Rocky Top Tennessee

It was a different kind of vacation for us. We actually decided to go somewhere and not stay with family. We rented a cabin on the top of a mountain in Pigeon Forge. Mom & Dad let us borrow their rv for the drive home. After one trip down the mountain with brakes smoking, we opted to rent a small car to drive around while in Pigeon Forge - Gatlinburg.

Here are some of our outings...Playing Mini-Golf, Dollywood with the Kauffman grandparents, hiking up to see Laurel Falls in the Smoky Mountains and walking around Gatlinburg.

Our on drive home we stopped at Ruby Falls in Chattanooga, TN. For years we've driven by. It was well worth the stop. I think it was my favorite site.

I recommend staying in a cabin. It was AWESOME.

It's nice the kids are older and can enjoy these kinds of vacations.
